Allied Grid-Lock™ plastic Barudan embroidery hoops, frames are the most preferred hoops in the world for machine embroidery. Why? Because they have unique features which enable users to save hooping time and considerable money over a period of time. Simply put, they are proven to be the "best value hoops in the industry". To learn more about the unique features of GridLock™ plastic embroidery frames, please click here: Patented Allied Grid-Lock™ Plastic Hoop Advantages.
All Allied Grid-Lock™ inner embroidery frames are manufactured in "double height" (DH). The added thickness of double height inner hoops provides additional surface area to hold fabric tautly as well as increased strength and reduced flexing. This is extremely advantageous when framing very thick articles.
Allied's Premium line of Allied Grid-Lock™ hoops features a 3-1/8" (79 mm) long external outer hoop adjustment screw with a knurled head. This makes the hooping process easier and more efficient. The extra long screw allows greater opening of the outer hoop to better accommodate thicker fabrics.

Choosing the right Allied plastic embroidery hoops for your Barudan tubular embroidery machine:
Allied offers separate hoops designed to fit on different Arm Spacing (AS) distances (measured in mm). The AS distance is designated by the last three digits of the Allied Item Number found in the first column of the grid below (e.g. AGL-0000-BAR-380).
For more information on this, click here: What Do We Mean by Arm Spacing (AS) Distance? ("Arm Spacing" is also referred to as "Sewing Field" by some embroiderers). Please select your hoops based on the desired AS distance for your machine.
The most common Arm Spacing (AS) set-up used on Barudan industrial tubular embroidery machines is 380 mm (approx. 14.75")
Some machine models allow a wider AS setting for a larger embroidery field of 520 mm (approx 20.25")
Barudan tubular embroidery machines have two different versions of bracket (clip) designs. EFP style brackets are used with older machines, and QS style brackets are used with newer machines. EFP version hoops have item numbers ending in EFP, and QS version hoops have item numbers ending in QS. To determine which style your machine uses, click here.
